How To Write A Private Policy Page

If you have been doing your homework, you should have chosen your sub-niche by now. You should have your website ready for your first page, so today we are going to do just that. How To Write A Private Policy Page is our goal today, you will find this is going to be a piece of cake. You need not fret about anything, I am going to guide you step-by-step.

In 2015, the Federal Trade Commission released its new rules for Disclosure ComplianceThese rules are set in place to ensure that readers or viewers of web media (blogs, Youtube videos, etc.) know if the blogger/presenter is sponsored, endorsed, or partnered with a different company. In blog terms, the readers need to know if the blogger is making money by sharing a link or product.

Prices are exactly the same for you if your purchase is through an affiliate link or a non-affiliate link. You will not pay more by clicking through to the link.

I have shared the links of my main pages on Just Ask For Help, so you are free to check them out if any of them interest you. To make life much easier for you, I have included a template of my privacy policy page. All you need to do is copy and paste this into your page, and be sure to add your website where it needs to be.

You will notice I bolded where your website goes, but be sure to double-check. I am only human, and I might have missed one or two. Just to be safe double-check, so this should relax many of you.

Delete All Your Default Pages And Posts

The first thing you want to do is delete the pages and posts, we are going to be creating our own from scratch. Go into your WordPress dashboard, you will see pages and posts near the top. You must click on all pages, now delete any that exist. You then do the same for your posts, and now you are ready to begin.

How To Create Your First Page?

You will find pages on your dashboard once again, but this time click on create the new page. If you choose to use my template just copy by highlighting and right-click your mouse, you will then click on copy. Now you are able to paste the template onto your new page, you will just right-click your mouse button and choose paste. You can name your page anything you desire, but using Privacy Policy is recommended.

The image above is showing you the text version, you just click on visual to see what your page will look like. I do hope this has been clearly explained, now all you do is preview your page. If you like what you see publish your page. Remember to add your website in all the bold print, and again double-check I didn’t miss any.

Customizing Your Menu

You will go back to your dashboard, and right under comments is Appearance. You will want to click on menus, and this is going to allow us to customize your first menu. Just look for the link Create New Menu near the top of the page, so once you do this a new menu appears. Name your menu, I suggest just using the Primary or Main menu. On your left you will see pages, click on that and your privacy page is waiting for you. Click add to the menu, and save by clicking on the save button.

Home Page

You will also want to add your home page to your menu, but if by any chance none exist you can create one very easily. Go to the bottom of the box on your left where you found your pages, click on the custom page or link. Name your page, and add your website URL. Now you have your first two pages on your menu, and remember to save again.

Success, you can go to your website and refresh. You will now see both of these pages on your primary menu. We now are going to create your first post, and this post is going to be about you.

How To Create Your About Me Post

The procedure is the same as creating a page, you will this time instead of going to pages on your dashboard choose posts. Choose to create a new post, and I know many of you are anxious about writing this. Most people find this difficult, so again I am providing you a template to use.
